Video Night went well

Video Night went well, originally uploaded by kineticmartialarts.

We skipped the Adults Class yesterday for a humble video evening.
All our fights from the Port Macquarie tournament were recorded and have been watched yesterday, with great joy. We analysed the fights and introduced some tournament manners – The do’s and don’ts – for all of those who haven’t been to a competition before.

Thanks again for everyone who participated at the tournament. Our club certainly will compete in future events.

It was quite funny to hear all the “comments” from the video-filmer *gg

You simply can not hold back the comments while you film, especially when you’re with the team and energized with the Hapkido Spirit.
As Sir Trent mentioned “We did pretty well”, for the first time. Our club never ever went into a competition and we grabbed good trophies I’d say.

Thanks to all who joined and watched the full tape.

National All Styles Tournament – Port Macquarie

by Tammy Madsen

Congratulations to Kristina Wright, Erica Williams, Saxon Williams, Scott Hackett and Jake Lambert who participated in the NAS tournament on Sunday 7th September. And a special thanks to Reno, Maria and all family members of our competitors who came up to Port Macquarie to support our competitors over the weekend. We really had a great time.

Kinetic Martial Arts won a total of 9 NSW North Coast Regional Titles on the day which was an excellent result – especially for the first tournament the club has entered in. Due to our great success, we will be competing in more tournaments in 2009. If you are interested in completing we have a special sparring class on every 2nd Wednesday which focuses on improving your sparring skills. If you would like to attend this class, please speak to Sir Trent.

Black Belt Grading in Canberra

The Kinetic Martial Arts School from Cronulla had a nice time on the road for the Canbarra Black Belt Grading.

The grading was on Saturday the 29th of March.
I want to thank Sir Travis and all of his school members for the warm and welcoming attitude.

All members from Sir Trent’s Kinetic Martial Arts School really appreciated the friendly atmosphere.

Congratulations again to your first black belt student, well done.

Students Grading in Cronulla

Another few months of hard and tough training went past and the school level of Kinetic Martial Arts in Cronulla went up as again all tested studends passed through, this time ;-)

It was a small grading, as not all students were prepared and practiced enough to qualify for the grading. However, it was a tough warm up and the usual techniques were applied.

Grading was on a Saturday the 15th of March

All students of Kinetic Martial Arts can be really proud of the instructors attitude, as this Hapkido school is the only one in the Australian Hapkido Group Alliance which invites other Black Belts to attend and observe the student Colour Belt grading.
Which makes it much harder for and accurate for the students to pass ;-)

Grading-Schedule:

8.10 Setting up and warming up
8.15 – 8.45 Warming up and sparring training
9.00 – 10.15 Grading
10.20 – 10.45 Tricks and Kicks from the invited Black Belts
10.45 – 11.30 Ground Wrestling with invited Black Belts (Invitation only class!)

Congratulations to the Coloured Belts:

- Andrew
- Amen
- Jake
- John
- Maria
- Reno
